About Us
The Delaware Tips for First Responders mobile site was developed by the Center for Disabilities Studies at the University of Delaware for the purpose of supporting first responders and others who are assisting individuals with disabilities in times of crisis.
Delaware’s Tips for First Responders is adapted from
- Dr. Tony Cahill’s 4th Edition of the TIPS for First Responders, developed at the Center for Development and Disability at the University of New Mexico
- Mobile TIPS for First Responders developed by Dr. Laura Stough with Project REDD at the Center on Disability and Development at Texas A&M University
- Acronym guides, also developed by Dr. Laura Stough with Project REDD at the Center on Disability Development at Texas A&M University
We appreciate the expert advice and research that Dr. Laura Stough of Project REDD generously shared with us regarding the adaptation of the Texas Mobile Tips material for Delaware.
The development of Delaware Tips for First Responders was funded by grants from Delaware Citizen Corps and the Centers for Disease Control.
